The Gaza Compound

In April 202, we were invited to give pottery classes for the medical evacuees brought to Qatar from Gaza. I planned a few workshops for kids and adults and went on a weekday in the evening, not knowing what to expect. Upon arriving at the compound, I was welcomed by all of the children who rushed to the class. I instantly fell in love with the children and I instantly knew that this experience would change my day to day life. We kept going back for classes and we also got a room in the activities building that is now the pottery room. Even when we do not have classes, I find myself visiting the children atleast 2 or 3 times a week, to play with them and chat.
